Hey, guys! Cat here again, with yet another interview! This time, it's one of the very first members, Andrew!
He's a twenty two year old chaser, and came to the very first Quidditch practice armed with a mop. It was quite hilarious. So here's what Andrew had to say!
Cat: Hey, Andrew! So, you were a bit of a funny case. You didn't know anything about Harry Potter or Quidditch when you first started out, so what made you decide to play?
Andrew: I had a vague idea about what Quidditch was, and after I joined I was so pressured to watched the films. Everyone hated me!
C: Oh, we did not!! So what's your favourite part about playing?
A: I like the girls and the running. It makes you sweat!
C: And when did you start playing?
A: Late March. I was one of the first, and I brought a mop!
C: I remember that! So who do you think is your biggest rival?
A: James and Sam
C: And finally, who do you think is better: Mandrakes of Phoenixes?
A: Of course, Phoenixes!

Cat
Hi guys, Eva here! Our next victim - I mean - interviewee is Cat!
Cat: Well, my friend found the facebook page and immediately sent it to me, and I decided to join. I was there from the very start, so it took a while to figure out exactly how, when and where we were going to practice, but then it finally got organized, and I joined the team!
E: That is awesome! I wish I knew about it earlier >.< Which is your favourite position to play and why?
C: I really liked being a beater, because people's reactions are hilarious when they're about to score a goal and you get them. But I'm kind of liking being a chaser now, because I've recently discovered that tackling people is so much fun!
E: Body slamming people is a lot of fun! So you've got about 2.5 more years in Murdoch. Will you keep playing with us?
C: Of course I'll keep playing! You guys are never getting rid of me ;)
E: What is your main motivation for playing?
C: Probably the fact that it's so much fun, and it's really good exercise and it'll hopefully stop me from being such an uncoordinated stumble fuck :p
E: And finally, what is your favourite part of being a Mandrake?
C: My favourite part is probably the people in our team. Everyone is so awesome and nice, and practices are always really fun and hilarious :3
She's an eighteen year old theatre kid, who plays as a beater, and just recently a chaser! So I decided to turn the tables a little bit, and interview our publicity manager.
Eva: So how did you get dragged into this awesome sport we know as quidditch?
Cat: Well, my friend found the facebook page and immediately sent it to me, and I decided to join. I was there from the very start, so it took a while to figure out exactly how, when and where we were going to practice, but then it finally got organized, and I joined the team!

Eva
To kick off our interviews, we have miss Eva!
Cat: So what made you want to play Quidditch?
C: Oh, I know! It's so much fun! So because of all the tackling, we always get a lot of injuries... Have you had any particularly exciting ones?
E: I managed to get a minor concussion during training with the phoenixes. Got bumped, slammed my head on the ground... This was also 2 weeks before the tournament.
C: Oh wow. You are an actual trooper. And finally, an obligatory question... Which team is better? The Phoenixes or The Mandrakes?
Eva's almost-twenty and plays as a chaser, keeper, beater and all round ass-kicker. Trust me. I've played against this girl. She is absolutely brutal. So I switched-tabs to facebook to have a little chat to the lovely lady, and here's what was said.
Cat: So what made you want to play Quidditch?
Eva: I was getting fat and regular sports are boring... Plus the gym was getting quite mundane. A fellow player was over at my place for the village courtyard iron chef challenge and upon realizing I'm a huge potter head, asked of I'd be interested in Quidditch. The only conceivable response was "frack yea!"
C: Understandable. It's pretty damn amazing. How long have you been playing?
E: I've been playing since late March/Early April.
C: And what's your favourite part of the game?
E: Being able to tackle people :D

E: Mandrakes. Just because :p
Upcoming Events!
Practice was amazing on Tuesday! We had lots of new faces, which is always really good to see. We're all so glad that the Quidditch message is playing, and that more people are engaging with their inner Harry Potter nerd :D
So tomorrow we've got an exhibition match at Murdoch University, on the oval next to the tav (continently enough) at 1.30, so you should come down and watch. It's probably going to be extremely entertaining.
That and we're selling food... and everyone likes food ;)
Oh, and I'm in the process of doing some interviews of all our players, just so you get to know us a bit more.
Anyway, hope to see lots of spectators tomorrow and I shall update you on more events in a couple of days :D
